2022 Archery Australia Board Election Results

Archery Australia Board is pleased to advise the appointment of Deonne Bridger and Grant Cole to the Archery Australia Board following the recent 2022 Elected Board Member Election.

Archery Australia would like to welcome Deonne and Grant who both bring a wealth of experience to the Archery Australia Board. They will both commence a four-year term on the 1 November 2022.

The new appointments see a change in personnel with Sue Gliddon stepping down after serving four years with the last two as President, and Andrew Fluck stepping down after serving on the Board for the last four years as well.

Archery Australia CEO, Rick Hastie, wanted to thank Sue and Andrew for their work, “I would like to thank Sue Gliddon and Andrew Fluck for their service to the Archery Community and the Archery Australia Board.

I am always incredibly grateful for the amount of time our volunteers dedicate to Archery and I’d like to thank Sue and Andrew for their work and support over the last four years. Andrew has been an ever present on the Board during his time and his views and knowledge was a huge asset during his term.

As President, Sue has been a huge support to myself and the organisation and her guidance will be sorely missed. Sue helped navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic, driving improved governance standards and the launch of a new Strategic Plan based around inclusivity and although she is stepping down I look forward to continuing to work with Sue in her role on the Para World Archery Committee.

I would also like to welcome Deonne and Grant and look forward to working with them and the new Board as well as thank the other candidates Mark and Peter for standing in the Election.”

More details on the new Archery Australia Board will follow in a Newsletter at the commencement of the new Board forming on the 1 November 2022.
