30 DAYS TO GO until the National Target and Para Championships. And while we`re very excited for our athletes, we`re also looking forward to discovering (or rediscovering) Hobart!
On top of its stunning landscapes, Hobart is an access-friendly city, making it the perfect host for these championships.
A few highlights:
- The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens has accessible paths throughout and a one-hour guided buggy tour
- MONA is largely step-free, with a lift in the main building, accessible parking and level tunnel entry for ferry arrivals
- Salamanca Market and the Hobart waterfront are set up for easy access
- Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary gives free entry to wheelchair users
- TrailRider all-terrain wheelchairs can be booked ahead at several Tasmanian parks for the rougher tracks (no hire fee)

Earlier this month, we sent a team of 23 athletes to the Singapore Open to gain some international experience. And it was a VERY successful trip!
Huge thanks to Singapore Archery for having us! This was a great chance to compete against international archers who made us feel very welcome.

Sport Integrity Australia have launched a new eLearning course: Rights, Respect and Safety for Young Athletes.
This course is designed to support young athletes to help identify and build safe environments in sport, as well as understanding of when a situation isn’t right and how to take action.
If you are a parent of a child who does archery and may not be on social media to make them aware of the course. We encourage young archers and parents of all ages to complete the course together here: https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/what-we-do/education/elearning-course-overview
