On the back of the successful VETS into Archery Program in partnership with Invictus Australia, which was funded by the Australian Sports Commission, Archery Australia have continued this partnership with Invictus Australia to try to provide as many opportunities as possible for the Defence Force Veterans to get involved with sport and archery.
Archery Australia and Invictus Australia have partnered together to improve the health and well-being of the Australian Veteran Defence Force community, with the program encouraging the engagement of more Veteran Defence Force service and ex-service men, women, and their families to become involved with Archery and give the sport of Archery a go!
Veterans into Archery focuses in on encouraging healthy and more active lifestyles by taking up increased sport and recreational activities.
Some of these activities that registered Archery clubs are able to get involved with are;
- Come ‘N’ Try Shooting
- Get introduced to the components of Recurve, Compound, Longbow, & Crossbow shooting
- Exhibition Matches
- Recurve Match Play
- Compound Match Play
- Learning the basic skills of Archery fundamentals, techniques, pressure shooting
- Hoverball Archery Inflatable Target Shooting
The events are for all the family, so come along, make new friends, build new relationships, and much more!
