CALL for NOMINATIONS of Non-Executive DIRECTORS of ARCHERY AUSTRALIA Ltd.
At the Archery Australia AGM in Canberra on Sunday the 23rd of November (at the conclusion of the Nationals competition) the voting members of Archery Australia (the official RGB representatives at the AGM) will elect 3 Board Members. We are now calling for nominations for these roles.
We are looking for people with a sound understanding of Archery or alternative National Sporting Organisations/Companies that have high level skills in the areas listed below:
· Human Resources / People and Culture
· Finance / Accounting
· Major Event Management
If you or someone you know would like to contribute to the governance and strategic development of Archery in Australia we strongly encourage you to complete the nomination form.

Please note the Archery Australian Board is committed to its goals in diversity, equity, and Inclusion. The Archery Australian Board is a board governance not a board of management and all Directors are volunteers who must meet several minimum requirements to be eligible to become a Director, including:
- Have an ASIC Director’s ID
- Have a current Working with Vulnerable People’s card
- Not hold any executive position in their RGB within one month of becoming a Director of Archery Australia
- And be willing and able to comply with several statutory codes of conduct as a Director
A key responsibility of a Director of Archery Australia is to diligently and in a timely manner make well informed decisions in relation to the best interests of the Company Archery Australia with reference to the objectives articulated in our Strategic Plan within the scope of the responsible use of our available resources.
Nominations will be assessed by the Archery Australia nominations committee and successful nominations will be presented to the AGM for voting.
Board appointments are for 3 years.
There is a lot of work involved in being a director but there is also a great deal of satisfaction to be had knowing that you have an opportunity to act in the best interests of our company to bring about a sustainable, agreed to, development of our sport.
