Recurve and Compound National Squad Selection Document

PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENT

The primary purpose of this policy is to detail the process established by Archery Australia for the selection of archers into the National Recurve and National Compound Squads who will be eligible to represent Australia at International events across the year. The aim is to select a National Squad and

National Development Squad each year. The policy also outlines the process to be eligible for the National Squad and National Development Squad of both Recurve and Compound.

This document will be the same process each year allowing athletes to be better prepared to know what they need to do to be selected into the National Squad for that year ahead. The policy will be reviewed every two years, but the aim is to have a consistent policy across the High-Performance program to best prepare athletes for selection into the National Squads.

AA Support of 3D World Championships

PURPOSE OF DOCUMENT

World Archery (WA) has formally recognized the 3D World Championships as an official WA event on its calendar. This recognition mandates that all registrations for this championship must be submitted by a National Federation. Individual archers are not permitted to register directly.

Therefore, Archery Australia (AA), as an affiliate member, is required to manage team entries via the WAEROS system and facilitate the team’s participation. The 3D World Championships will now be held directly after the World Field Championships in Yankton, USA, from September 24 to October 4, 2026.

World Field Archery Championships Selection 2026

PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENT

The primary purpose of this policy is to detail the process established by Archery Australia for the selection of archers to compete at the World Archery Field Championships in 2026 in the USA.
