The primary purpose of this policy is to detail the process established by Archery Australia for the selection of archers to represent Australia in Recurve events at the 2025 World Archery Championships. The policy also outlines the process to select teams to attend 2025 World Cups and 2025 Asia Cups in the Recurve events.

In the event additional International World Cups are scheduled in the lead up to the World Para Championships this policy will also outline the process for selection for the WAPA squad for these World Cup events.

The principal objectives when selecting a team are:
a) To win medals in as many events as possible
b) To enhance Australia’s reputation internationally as a competitive Crossbow Nation and;
c) To improve Australia’s Crossbow world rankings.
This policy needs to be read in conjunction with:
• Archery Australia Athlete Code of Conduct and Team Agreement
• National Teams Selection appeal procedures
• Review and Appeals Policy

PURPOSE OF DOCUMENT

The primary purpose of this policy is to detail the process established by Archery Australia for the selection of archers to represent Australia in the 2025 Trans-Tasman Challenge. The principal objectives when selecting these teams are:

i) To win medals in as many events as possible

ii) To enhance Australia’s reputation internationally as a competitive Archery nation

iii) To improve Australia’s world ranking and;

iv) To expose identified athletes within the Archery Australia athlete pathway to international level competition.

The Team refers to the team selected by Archery Australia which includes Archers and may also include Coaches, Team Managers, Nominated Reserves, Medical Support Staff, and any associated members of staff from Archery Australia.
