Category/Description:

The Metropolitan Championships is a historical tournament open to Recurve (freestyle) and Compound competitors. Barebow Recurve may compete in their appropriate Archer’s Diary classification, but they will compete against Recurve (Freestyle) archers.

There will be no divisions for age; this is an Open Tournament with performance divisions based on archers’ current Archer’s Diary ratings for the equipment style that will be used.

Archers eligible for lower divisions may choose to enter a higher division, if so, they will

not be eligible for lower division awards.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

Medals have always been presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each division.

CLUB TEAM

In addition to the individual tournament, there will be a club team competition.

One Recurve Team and one Compound team from each club.

Each Club Team – Recurve and Compound will be determined after the tournament by using the top three scores from each club member. The score used must include at least one female competitor from each team club. The club with the highest three scores will be the winner.

The winning Recurve and Compound team will receive the ANSW Perpetual Team Award.
