PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE
Archery Australia is seeking applicants for a Archery Particpation lead be based in
Queensland and to service the Queensland region.
The primary purpose of the role will be to support and deliver Archery Australia and Archery
Queensland agreed planned activities. Further support will also be required for the two
Recognised Governing Bodies (RGB) SQAS/NQAA and their clubs to deliver the Archery
Australia Strategic Plan. This will be achieved by supporting the community to access, engage
and enjoy archery through activating the Play Well participation strategy and developing the
capacity of the sport. This role will promote inclusivity and participation in the sport through
increasing participation opportunities in the community and schools, particularly in youth and
underrepresented groups. It will foster the development of clubs and participants by
promoting the sport of archery through facilitating and delivering courses and come and try
activities.
This key role will work closely with Archery Queensland to support the needs of their RGBs,
clubs and their people. The support will extend to development, delivery or activation of
initiatives, community engagement, participation growth and volunteer support.
This role will facilitate, increase and deliver archery activities and identify opportunities and
support for community involvement across a wide range of population groups, cultural
groups and accessibility support and capture the effectiveness and impact of programs to
keep them relevant and contemporary for ongoing engagement in the sport.
