High Performance Youth Development Program

HIGH PERFORMANCE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM   Archery Australia is committed to helping develop world class athletes and for Australia to be ranked as one of the top countries in our sport. Archery Australia is currently developing a High Performance Youth Development Pathway Program and establishing a Youth Committee to ensure all young athletes who wish to be involved at the elite level are encouraged and supported to help them achieve at the top end. The focus of our Youth Development Pathway Program will ultimately lead to the chance to represent Australia in World Championships and the Olympic Games. Initially we are looking at creating a distribution list of all athletes/coaches/managers who would be interested in being a part of this new program. As you are aware, the London Olympic Games are the focus of High Performance Archery this year BUT we need to focus on the future of our sport and develop a plan for the next 4 years and beyond. We believe there a lot of talented athletes, coaches and administrators that are out there and need our support. We not only need top athletes, we are in need of high level coaches and support administrators. Archery Australia is committed to creating an elite pathway that starts with youth athletes and club coaches and develops them into elite athletes and coaches through the support of the High Performance Program. In addition, Archery Australia wishes to appoint a Youth Committee as part of our Youth Development Pathway Program. This committee will have valuable input into the development and support of the Youth Development Pathway Program. The Youth Committee will create an inclusive environment to further add value to our program.
