Armidale Archers Awarded Australian Field Open

We are excited to announce the 2021 Australian Field Open will be hosted by Armidale Archers from 7-9 May, 2021.

Program

The Australian Field Open will comprise one day of Unmarked and a day of Marked Field all to be shot as per World Archery (WA) rules. As per WA rules the event is open to Recurve, Compound and Bare Bow Recurve participants. Being an Open Event all distances will be Open distances relative to each bow style.

Daily Schedule

7th May 2021 – Registration and Practice

8th May 2021 – Unmarked Field

9th May 2021 – Marked Field and Finals

On Saturday 8th May a novelty shoot will take place at the conclusion of the unmarked field this will be followed by an onsite social evening.

Register Early

The event requires a minimum of 40 archers registered for it to proceed. Archery Australia along with Armidale Archers will be monitoring the registrations prior to the closing date to ascertain the level of interest.

If you plan to attend we ask you register as early as possible to ensure we don’t need to postpone due to lack of interest. Remember, your entry fee is refundable if for any reason the Field Open is cancelled your entry will be reimbursed in full.

Weather in Armidale is traditionally the best at this time of year.  Likelihood of rain is minimal and the nights are cool with warm days.
