Future Green and Gold Talent Search: Discover Australia’s Next Elite Athletes!

Archery Australia and The AIS is excited to announce our support for the Future Green and Gold Talent ID Search, an initiative by the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) aimed at discovering Australia’s next generation of elite athletes. The campaign will be one of the largest national talent searches, uniting the high-performance sports sector to identify potential athletes for Olympic and Paralympic success.

The Talent ID Search is open to Australians aged 13-23 year olds for Olympic sports and 13+ for Paralympic sports. No previous sporting experience is required, meaning everyone has a chance to showcase their potential and begin a journey toward high-performance competition. Current athletes interested in transitioning to a new sport are also welcome to apply.

Queensland testing day will take place on December 8th at Chandler, starting at 9 am. Participants will undergo a baseline assessment to identify athletic potential, followed by further testing with a recommended sport for those who show promising results. Successful participants will be invited to join a Talent Development Program, opening doors to specialised training and support.

With Australia’s sights set on Brisbane 2032, this is a unique opportunity to play a role in the future of Australian sport. The campaign has received backing, including significant funding from the government and support from the Australian Olympic Committee and Paralympics Australia.

We encourage all eligible Australians to seize this opportunity and consider attending a Talent ID testing day. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, the Future Green and Gold Talent ID Search could be the start of your path to the podium.
