BIOGRAPHY:
Hi! My name is Imogen Grzemski and I have been competing in recurve archery since 2014. I first began archery after my father picked it up as a hobby at Hall’s Arrow in Connecticut, USA. From there, I began competing statewide and regionally taking many junior titles. Beginning 2016, I entered the national scene shooting at the United States Archery Tournament (USAT) circuits. Soon after in early 2017, I met an incredibly important coach in my career so far, Jim White. In 2017, with guidance from Coach Jim, I medalled in both junior individual and team events in North Carolina and California at USAT national events. My love for archery truly began with the teachings of Coach Jim and I will forever be thankful for the opportunity to work closely with him.
In mid 2020, I relocated across the world to Australia with my family. Since my move, I have had the opportunity to represent Australia internationally in both field and target archery events. My first time competing for Australia was at the 2022 World Archery Field Championships which was also my first time competing in the world scene.
My proudest moment so far in my career has been my performance at the 2023 World Archery Oceania Championships earning double gold in the Open Female Recurve Category. This was my first time competing with Australia in a target event and taking home gold made me eager for more.
I am a current scholarship holder at the Victorian Institute of Sport where I am fortunate to have the support needed for me to continue in my sporting goals.
I am very excited for the coming Olympic year and will be putting in my all as we move towards Paris 2024. |
