My name is Jonathan Milne. I started archery in 2013 after sustaining a spinal cord injury while swimming in the surf on holidays, but never dreamed of competing at the level I do now. I just thought it would be a fun thing to do while I was going through rehab. I started competing in archery tournaments in 2014 after a club member told me he thought I would be do well in the sport if I got a coach and started training.
Since then I have represented Australia in both the Para and able bodied teams at multiple World Cups and World Championships. Some of the better result have been winning Bronze in 2016 at the Rio Paralympics, Gold in the 2016 Para Indoor World Championships, Silver in men’s team at the 2022 Para World Championships in Dubai and Bronze at the 2023 Para World Championships in the Czech Republic.
