BIOGRAPHY:

After a motorcycle accident in June 2014 leaving me a T12 paraplegic I was looking for something to give me purpose and direction, enter para archery. After taking my twin boy’s to a come-n-try at my local archery club, Bowman of Melville, I was encourage to get involve and since then I have not looked back. I had been shooting for 3-4yrs when I won my first National Medal, Bronze at the Para National in Queensland in 2019 and from there my life took a very different direction, one I could not have expected. I was then selected in the Para National Team to represent Australia in both Dubai and then the World Championships in Netherlands. I could not have believed that I would represent my country in a World Championship event after my accident so it was a dream come true when it happened. I managed to win my first International Medal, Silver in Great Britain last year in 2022 when I competed in their Para Archery Championships. This was a very successful event for Australia, coming away with a number of medals and really showed me the true potential of our growing Para Archery Team under the guidance of National Coach, Ricci Chea and staff.
I am truly honored and humbled by being able to not just represent my country but also to represent the greater Para community, showing what is possible when you have the drive and determination to succeed and not let anything hold you back. The support I have had throughout my journey has been amazing, especially from my amazing Wife and Twin Son’s, my Father & Step Mum, my Club-Bowmen of Melville and WAIS-WA Institute of Sport. Without this type of support I would have found it hard to get to where I am today.
