2017 ASIAN CUP – BRONZE MEDAL

Congratulations to Sam Strickland and Belinda Maxworthy who won Bronze at the Asia Cup in Bangkok this week in the Mixed Recurve Team event. Archery Australia sent a small team of three Recurve Men and one Recurve Women to this event as part of the initial athlete development program being established by Archery Australia and administered by the High Performance Team. Strickland and Maxworthy won in the Bronze medal match against Thailand 6 to 2. In the individual matches Belinda Maxworthy (Women Recurve) finished 9th with the Men Recurve James Johnstone, Sam Strickland and Kane Wilson all finishing in 33rd place. The future plan is to attained more of these regional tournaments so our developing athletes can obtain greater experience and develop their talents. Jim Larven CEO Archery Australia RESULTS
