Get Into Archery

Come and Try Sessions

Your pathway into archery starts with a come and try session at your local club. This will provide a focused time to introduce the basic skills and technique to get you started where you can progress through a range of programs.

Each club will have a different and varying timetable for when come and try and beginner sessions are available, and what is required at these session. If interested, more details will be available at a club near you.

Come and try sessions

“Come and Try” sessions are designed for people who want to give archery a go without needing their own equipment. Under the guidance of accredited coaches, you’ll learn the basics of safety, technique, equipment, etiquette and be introduced to the community within that club. It’s the perfect first step to get started in the sport.

You can find a come and try session via your local Recognised Governing Body

Beginners course

A beginners course is the next steps after completing your come and try to get serious about the sport. On joining a club it is a mulitple week program where you receive equipment and time to build on your skills and confidence as you are introduced to the sport and build on your technique and style.
