This years’ National Youth Championships had the biggest turn out on record with up to 150 competitors compete across 3 events with a total of 434 total registrations, higher than any previous years registrations.
The competitions started out battling the elements and wild weather, facing strong winds, rain and even hail at times. The dedicated and resilient archers continued to shoot in all conditions, sunshine and nighttime giving a well rounded competition experience.

The event has received positive feedback and provided key insights in to how we can continue to improve in the future through refining the schedule and timing. Launceston provided a great backdrop for the target event at Churchill sports park and the field course at Parringa Archers was a great experience at a quality field course.
Thanks to those who stayed a little longer to enjoy Launceston and the surrounds with Cataract gorge a popular place to stop in and visit.

A very special thanks to the sponsors, particularly the City of Launceston and the Tasmanian government, Archery Tasmanian, the organising committee and all the judges and officials, AA staff, photographers and volunteers, Burnie Archers, Van Dieman Archers, Paringa Archers, and Hobart Archers for supporting the event.
