The 2025 National Field Championships have officially concluded, marking a brilliant start to Archery Australia’s national events calendar. Held at Twin City Archers in Morwell, Victoria, the Championships welcomed athletes from across the country, delivering an outstanding weekend of field archery, marked by sportsmanship, skill, and a vibrant community spirit.
A Warm Welcome and Challenging Course
Kicking off under perfect conditions, archers were greeted with warm sunshine and clear skies as they familiarised themselves with one of the most technically challenging field courses in Australia. The lead-up to competition provided the ideal environment for athletes to reconnect, fine-tune their equipment, and prepare mentally and physically for the competition ahead.
Exceptional Performances Across the Weekend
Throughout the weekend, archers demonstrated remarkable composure and precision, taking full advantage of the calm weather to deliver strong performances. Notably, several new unofficial State and National records were challenged, a testament to the high calibre of competition on display.
In a special addition to the program, Twin City Archers, supported by an enthusiastic team of volunteers, organised an unofficial Matchplay event on Saturday afternoon. This fun and competitive head-to-head challenge was well-received by athletes and spectators alike, providing an additional opportunity for archers to test their skills under pressure.
