Event Preview: 2022 Para and VI Championships

Today kickstarts the 2022 Para and VI Championships at Waverly City Archers (Victoria). Over 30 para and VI archers from across Australia will be competing in the event. There will be some great competition with our Tokyo Paralympians along with those recently returned from the 2022 World Para Championships competing in the 3 day tournament.

Event Program

Friday 1 April

Practice and bow inspection

Saturday 2 April – Oceania Invitational

  • 9.30 am approx. – Official Practice.
  • 9.50am approx. – Beginning of Ranking 720 Rounds.
  • 1.20pm approx. Match Play begins.

Sunday 3 April – Archery Australia Para and VI Championships

  • 9.20 am approx. – Beginning of Ranking 720 Rounds.
  • 12.50pm approx. Match Play begins.

About Para Archery Divisions

The Para and VI Championships are open to a range of people with physical impairments that impairs their upper and/or lower limb function or vision impairments. Athletes can compete in para-archery from a standing or sitting position (stool or wheelchair) and may also have aids to help them compete. Read more here.
