As a key element of Australia?s Winning Edge, the AIS Centre for Performance Coaching and Leadership has been established to deliver world best approaches to learning and development, formalise pathways for professional development for coaches and performance leaders, drive research and encourage innovation.The AIS Centre for Performance Coaching and Leadership is now accepting expressions of interest for the first intake of participants in the Performance Coach Program and the Performance Leaders Program.Developed in partnership with Melbourne Business School-Mt Eliza Executive Education, the structure of each program is thematic rather than discipline based, with content delivered via a series of face-to-face residential labs, commencing in May 2013.Performance Coach ProgramThe Performance Coach Program is tailored to emerging performance coaches in priority national sporting organisations (NSOs) who have the capacity and capability to deliver outstanding results for Australia over the next decade.The program will be delivered over two years via a series of face-to-face residential labs, immersive experiences, project work, mentoring, individual assessment and regular feedback and reflection.The Performance Coach Program will fund a maximum of 15 coaches each year, with successful placements determined through a rigorous application and selection process.Performance Leaders ProgramThe Performance Leaders Program is for performance leaders in the high performance sports sector, including NSOs and the National Institute Network (NIN), who have the capacity and capability to deliver outstanding results for Australia over the next decade.The program will be delivered via a series of face-to-face residential labs, immersive experiences, project work, executive coaching, individual assessment and regular feedback and reflection. The initial commitment is for one year, with the opportunity to extend upon successful completion of the foundation year.The Performance Leaders Program will fund a maximum of 15 performance leaders each year, with successful placements determined through a rigorous application and selection process.Open ProgramThe AIS Centre for Performance Coaching and Leadership will also offer a range of open learning opportunities throughout the year, including seminars from a range of world best content providers and international study tours.
