SQAS’s Regional Development Program Launches For 2021

Last month, the SQAS Regional Development Program met at Mount Petrie Bowmen for its first training day in 2021.

Eighteen archers from across the QLD attended the state development day to learn skills on how to become better archers.

To open the program Richard Fryer (Archery Australia’s lead Performance Psychologist) along with and Dan Favier (a Strength and Conditioning Coach from the Queensland Academy of Sport), both gave presentations to the archers and coaches. These experts provided high quality content to help develop these archers into well rounded athletes.

Archers also shot under the watchful eyes of the Program coaches with the aim of getting to know each other.

SQAS AARDP sessions are scheduled for the rest of the year with the next session on 6 March at Sunshine Coast Archery Club.
