BIOGRAPHY:

I was in the Australian Army when I was wounded in a Blackhawk Crash in Afghanistan in 2010. I suffered multiple injuries including a severe brain injury and many wounds and musculoskeletal injuries. My leg was badly broken and missing a few inches of bone that it could not be saved and it was amputated just over a year later. I spent over two years in hospital before I could return home to my family. As I was going through my rehabilitation, I was involved in the inaugural Invictus Games in London in 2014 and introduced to archery. A couple of years later I met Jonothan Milne who got me in touch with the National Para Coach, Ricci Cheah and my journey of para archery began.
I have been training with the National Para Squad and have competed in the Para World Championships twice. The first time in 2022, winning a silver medal in the teams event and setting a world record with Jono and in 2023 coming 17th.
I shoot a compound bow in the Para Open category. I shoot from a wheelchair and use a shoulder harness with a release aid attached to it. I have limited mobility in my arm and cannot draw the bow, so the harness enables me to be able to shoot.
I am a husband, father of 3 and grandfather of 6. I have previously been involved in Paracycling, gaining national titles over the few years I was involved.
My goal is to one day compete at the Paralympics in Archery.
