Archery Australia Board News – September 2020
National Ranking Lists Locked and Activation of QRE’s
Following the lead of World Archery, Archery Australia will be keeping the national ranking lists locked until at least the end of 2020. Only when archers in all states and territories of Australia can compete, will these be unlocked again.
Meanwhile, Qualifying and Ranking Events (QREs) and state tournaments can proceed where state health regulations permit. QREs which were registered earlier in the year can be run from 14th September (to give registrants time to respond to advertising) and new QREs can be registered upon publication of the Board News, giving the usual 30 days’ notice.
Although national ranking lists are locked, state lists can be updated by the RGB Recorder. Awards and Records can be achieved.
World Crossbow Shooting Association Judges to assist at Crossbow Events in National Tournaments
To assist Archery Australia (AA) judges in officiating and running AA national, state and club events that include cross bow it has been recommended that World Crossbow judges undertake the National Event Judges programme within the Archery Australia online training structure.
This will allow WSCA judges to officiate/judge alongside AA registered judges to facilitate events and strengthen our understanding of this division.
