Home with a silver medal from the World Archery Para Championships – what a fantastic week in Dubai!
Archery Australia sent 7 athletes to the World Para Championships – Chris Davis, Peter Marchant, Jonathon Milne, Craig Newbery, Imalia Oktrininda, Garry Robinson and Marek Steiner.
Results:
- The highlight was Jonathon Milne and Garry Robinson winning the silver medal in the Mens Open Compound Doubles. In a very close match for the gold, Iran took the win 145-143.
- Craig Newbery made it through to the bronze medal match in the VI division and narrowly missed out on a bringing home a medal in a one arrow shoot-off. He finished 4th overall.
- In the Mens Open Compound: Jonathon Milne finished equal 5th, Garry Robinson equal 33rd, Peter Marchant equal 17th
- Christopher Davis finished 7th in the Mens W1
- Marek Steiner finished equal 33rd in the Mens Open Recurve.
- Imalia Oktrininda finished 7th in the Womens Open Recurve
- Marek and Imalia finished equal 9th in our Mixed Open Recurve Team.
