International Women’s Day

This International Women’s Day Archery Australia would like to take the opportunity to celebrate and thank the passionate, dedicated, and supportive women involved in the archery community across Australia.

Throughout our sport, women play a vital role at both grassroots and elite level. We are committed to ensuring Archery is a sport that is accessible for all and continue to highlight and showcase the many achievements women in our sport make day in day out.

Archery Australia’s President, Sue Gliddon said “We are incredibly lucky to have so many amazing women involved within the Archery Community, including volunteers, committee members, coaches, administration staff and officials. We truly appreciate that we have high calibre female role models across all aspects of the Sport.

“As a sport we are committed to continuing to ensure Archery is a sport for all and want to thank you for the important role you are playing in achieving this.”

Rick Hastie, Archery Australia CEO said “I feel very fortunate to work for an organisation that celebrates the many achievements of women in sport, with a strong focus on showcasing these achievements year-round.”

“Without our volunteers, coaches, officials, committee members, administrators the sport as we know it would not be possible and I also wanted to take the opportunity today to say Thank You! While there is still work to be done by us, the many hours, support and hard work definitely does not go unnoticed”
