Celebrating Dedication: Lynne Greenham Recognised for Over 30 Years of Volunteering in Archery

As part of National Volunteer Week 2025, Archery Australia is proud to shine a spotlight on one of our sport’s most dedicated volunteers — Lynne Greenham, whose service to archery in Western Australia and nationally spans more than three decades.

Over the course of 30+ years, Lynne has exemplified what it means to be a true community leader. Her unwavering commitment and contributions have touched nearly every corner of our sport — not only in formal roles, but through her ongoing, behind-the-scenes support that continues to uplift and inspire archers across the state and beyond.

A Legacy of Service

Throughout her journey, Lynne has taken on a remarkable range of volunteer roles. Her titles have included President, Secretary, Coaching Coordinator, Coaching Facilitator, and Medals Coordinator, among others. She has led the setup of competitions, managed community outreach events, maintained club equipment and facilities, and supported the development of coaches and athletes alike.

Whether it was stepping into vacant committee roles to keep clubs operational, or offering her personal time, resources and expertise without fanfare, Lynne has been a reliable and compassionate presence wherever she’s needed most.

A Lasting Community Impact

Lynne’s efforts extend far beyond the archery field. Her warm presence and generous spirit have helped build connections not only within archery clubs, but throughout the wider community. At events and competitions, Lynne has introduced countless individuals to the sport — many of whom stayed involved thanks to her encouragement and support.

Her advocacy and tireless behind-the-scenes work have helped promote archery as a welcoming, inclusive sport for people of all ages and backgrounds. The ripple effect of her contributions is evident in the continued growth and participation within the WA archery community and across the country.

A Thank You From Us All

Archery Australia acknowledges and deeply appreciates the profound impact Lynne has made through decades of volunteer service. Her leadership, integrity and generosity reflect the very best of what volunteering in sport can achieve.

As we celebrate National Volunteer Week and give “3 Cheers for Volunteers”, we proudly recognise Lynne Greenham for her outstanding service and lasting contribution to the sport of archery in Australia.

Thank you, Lynne. Your work has helped shape our community — and your legacy will continue to inspire for years to come.
