BIOGRAPHY:
Imalia began her career as an elite Archery athlete in 2018, training at Sydney Olympic Park Archery Club and receiving a NSW Institute of Sport scholarship which she still holds. Imalia attended the Tokyo 2020(21) Paralympic Games, and competed in two events, the Individual Recurve Women Open and Mixed Recurve Team. Imalia backed up this performance at the Dubai 2022 and Czech Republic World Championships, where she was a member of the Australian team. Imalia’s current goal is to represent Australia not only at the Paralympics, but also at the Olympics. Imalia was born in Indonesia with Spina Bifida and became an independent and highly capable woman. Imalia has achieved a major life goal to live and work in Sydney. She is currently working full-time in one of the world’s leading medical companies while keeping up with her training as an elite athlete Imalia strongly believes there is no limit on age or disability in archery and she wants to demonstrate from her experiences how people show courage, push their boundaries, and live life to the fullest. |
