Paris 24 Pathways Program
Archery Australia, in conjunction with the AIS Performance Pathways unit, is delighted to announce the establishment of the Paris24 Pathways Program designed to fast track identified Archers who demonstrate the required talent and commitment, to train towards selection in the Australian team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The initial Paris24 Pathways squad will be targeted specifically at the Paris 2024 Olympics however if there is sufficient interest from junior/youth athletes, a second squad targeted at qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games will be established.
Paris24Pathways Program Archers selected into the Paris24pathways squad will be invited to various training camps, competitions and education sessions aimed specifically at preparing them for qualification to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Membership of the Paris24 program will be limited and Archers will be required to commit to a high-level training program where commitment and progress will be monitored on a regular basis. Due to the current national and state level restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the training camps program for 2020 cannot be confirmed at this stage.

Paris 24 Para Pathways Program
Archery Australia (AA) in conjunction with the AIS Performance Pathways unit, is delighted to announce the establishment of the Paris24 (P24) Para Pathways Program. This Program has been designed by our High Performance (HP) Pathways Manager in conjunction with National Para Coach, the AA HP team and AIS Performance Pathways unit, and aligns with the established P24 Pathways Program released in mid-2020.
The Program is designed to fast track identified Para Archers who demonstrate the required talent and commitment, to train towards selection in the Australian team for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The program is funded through the AIS Pathways unit.
Paris24 Para Pathways Program Archers selected into the Paris24Para Pathways squad will be invited to various training camps, competitions and education sessions aimed specifically at preparing them for qualification to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Membership of the Paris24Para Program will be limited, and Archers will be required to commit to a training program where commitment and progress will be monitored on a regular basis. Where Archers of a sufficient number in one state are found, a training group may also be established. Selected archers will also be directed to their AA Regional Development Program (AARDP) program and AARDP programs with P24 Para athletes will be eligible to receive additional funding. Due to the current national and state level restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the training camps program for 2020 cannot be confirmed at this stage.
