Australia has recorded a double podium finish at the 2025 Para Archery European Cup, with Jonathan Milne securing bronze in the Compound Men’s Individual, and Milne teaming up with Garry Robinson to take silver in the Compound Men’s Open Doubles.

Bronze for Milne in Individual Event

Jonathan Milne, a Paralympic medallist and seasoned international competitor, delivered a confident performance to claim bronze in the Compound Men’s Individual event on Friday afternoon. Facing off against Maxime Guerin of France in the medal match, Milne held steady in gusty conditions to secure his spot on the podium.

Silver in the Doubles – Strong Showing from Milne and Robinson

On Saturday, Milne returned to the field with teammate Garry Robinson for the Compound Men’s Open Doubles event. The pair posted the highest score of the day in their quarterfinal, defeating Italy 149–143. They then overcame Great Britain in a closely fought semi-final to earn a place in the gold medal match.

In the final, they faced India — a powerhouse in the compound discipline. The team held a close margin all the way through missing out gold by 1 point, the Australians finished with silver, an outstanding achievement in a high-calibre field.

This campaign marked Garry Robinson’s return to international competition and Jadein Burns’ debut on the world stage in the W1 division. Burns performed admirably in his ranking and matchplay rounds, gaining valuable experience for future events. Stuart Hume also showed promising form in the Men’s Recurve, narrowly missing out in the 1/16 elimination round.
